Already in its seventh year, Brewcon19 has fast established itself as the annual go-to for independent brewers across Australasia.
This year’s event at Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre packs a craft beer punch with over 50 speakers and 80 exhibitors, answering the big questions on everything from marketing, maceration and medals to logistics, refrigeration and, the biggest one of all, sustainability – all distilled into three immersive, high-yield days. As global leaders in glass packaging, we’re partnering with ambitious food and drink producers of all sizes, to create iconic, enchanting and sustainable packaging that enhances the value, experience and reputation of their brands. At the heart of our passion for glass, this most sustainable of and infinitely recyclable of materials, is our commitment to sustainability – to recycling, reducing energy emissions and increasing the recycled content of our containers.
Why visit our stand?
This year, we’re highlighting the sustainability of glass, from glass bottle recycling to consumer health. Whether you’re a small start-up or an established independent, looking to minimise your environmental footprint, create a more compelling reason to buy, up your sustainability, or all of the above, we can help scope or develop your move into glass, the ultimate sustainable material. We’ll also have craft beer tastings from local breweries from 12.30pm each day.

What’s with sustainable packaging?
If you’re an independent brewer, you’ll already know how huge an issue sustainability is and will continue to be. More than ever consumers are demanding safe, healthy, sustainable packaging. Millennials are driving the big trends, with a keenly honed sense of social responsibility and a willingness to buy according to their beliefs and ethics as much as their tastebuds. The transactional value of purchase and social media has never been higher. Once sustainability was discussed at the fringes, today it is very much front and centre of business and political thinking, strategy and policy. For sustainable packaging, it’s not a matter of if but when.
